The original Hummus is prepared from cooked, mashed chickpeas, which is well blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, salt and garlic.
Tahini which is a sesame seed paste is an important part of Hummus, however, it can be removed out of the equation completely.
Hummus is an integral part of any Middle Eastern Restaurant’s menu.
However, it can be prepared by you at your own home and consumed as a dip along with your favorite chips in front of the TV on a Monday Night or Sunday Afternoon while relaxing on the couch.

The Original Hummus Recipe – This recipe is simple and easy taking up just 4 minutes or less of your time in making it.
It is important to note that original Hummus is best eaten fresh, but, you can store it for up to 20 days in your Freezer, adding a touch of Olive oil to make it less dry once removed from the fridge.
Now here is the actual recipe….
19 Oz Can Of Garbanzo Beans Or Chickpeas
Half The Liquid From The Can
1 1/2 Tablespoons Tahini
2 Tablespoons Olive Oil
3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
2 Cloves Garlic, Crushed
1/2 Teaspoon Salt
Dash Of Cayenne Pepper
1. Set the liquid aside from the can and blend the Chickpeas with Tahini, Olive Oil, Lemon Juice, and the crushed Garlic for 1 minute.
2. Add the liquid and blend for a further 2 minutes or until a smoothness has arrived.
3. Mix in the salt and a dash of cayenne pepper and blend for another 10 seconds.
4. Serve fresh with your favorite snack.
You can relish my Hummus as a dip along with fresh bread, chicken wings, French fries, chips, salad fingers, and more.
You can even serve it fresh along with a roasted meat or grilled steaks.
Also goes well with chicken kebabs and a mug of Beer.
